Waybill does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There is no server, no analytics, and no account.
What Waybill stores
Waybill saves your selected shopping agent, any affiliate codes you enter, and your preferences. This is held in your browser's own extension storage. If you have Chrome sync turned on, your browser syncs it across your devices under your Google account. Waybill has no server and never receives this information.
What Waybill does not do
Waybill contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It does not read page content, does not record browsing history, and does not transmit anything anywhere.
Permissions
Waybill watches for navigation to Taobao, Tmall, Weidian and 1688 product pages so it can redirect them to your chosen agent. That is the whole of its access, and it is limited to those sites.
If you turn on agent-to-agent routing, Waybill additionally asks permission for the shopping agent domains it supports, so it can recognise their product links. This permission is requested at the moment you enable the feature and is removed when you turn it off. If you never enable it, you are never asked.
Affiliate links
When Waybill redirects a product link, the destination may include an affiliate code. If you have entered your own code, yours is used. If you have not, and you have left the default option enabled, Waybill's code is used and Waybill may earn a commission from the shopping agent on purchases you make. This does not increase your cost.
You are shown this on first run before any code is applied, the extension popup always states which code is in use, and you can switch to your own code or to none at any time.
Waybill does not modify or replace an affiliate code that is already present on a link. If a link arrives carrying someone else's referral, Waybill adds nothing of its own.
Third parties
Redirecting sends you to a shopping agent's own website. Once you are there, that site's privacy policy applies rather than this one.
